JOE THAMBU SHIHAN (8th dan)
Joe Thambu Shihan is the Chief Instructor of Aikido Shudokan - headquartered in Melbourne, Australia - and is internationally acclaimed for his extraordinary Aikido abilities along with his outstanding teaching skills. He was awarded his eighth dan in 2015 by Inoue Kyoichi Kancho, the only living 10th dan in the Yoshinkan style of Aikido. To this present day, the international demand for instruction by Thambu Shihan continues to grow as he is instrumental in spreading the art of Aikido worldwide and developing Aikido throughout Australia, South-east Asia, the United Kingdom, the United States, Poland, Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Iran.
ELIO SANCIOLO SENSEI (5th dan)
Elio Sanciolo Sensei is known and highly sought after for his insight, understanding and ability to articulate and teach the core principles underpinning the many Aikido techniques. Elio Sanciolo Sensei began his Aikido training in January, 1994 in Melbourne, Australia at the Aikido Shudokan. Through his dedication and full time practice of Aikido, he achieved his first dan in 1995.Throughout his career in Aikido, he has been assessed and awarded by numerous internationally acclaimed Aikido Sensei. He was tested for his second dan in 1999 by Terada Kiyoyuki Hanshi. In 2003, he tested and was awarded his third dan by Inoue Kyoichi Kancho. In 2008, he tested and was promoted to the level of fourth dan by Shioda Yasuhisa Sensei. In April 2013, he was tested to fifth dan by Joe Thambu Shihan.
MARVIN OKA (2nd dan)
Marvin Oka is internationally recognised in the highly specialised field of behavioural modelling and works professionally as a management consultant in leadership development. He applies his specialized behavioural modeling skills to areas of human development and high performance including complex decision-making, meta cognition and generative learning. He is an avid student of Aikido studying under Joe Thambu Sensei at the Aikido Shudokan in Melbourne Australia since 2009. He was awarded his 1st dan in 2013 and his 2nd dan in 2015.
